Description

YAY, I managed to finish up one of my several inked pieces before the month ended :D One of the more simplier pieces perhaps, BUT THERE IS A NICE BIG STORY THAT GOES ALONG WITH IT, so hopefully you won't be disappointed ;)

(Seriously, it's going to get really long o_o You might want to get a snack and a drink beforehand. *SLAPPED*)

I've been excited to share the story behind this for WEEKS~ I mean, maybe in the grand scheme of things it's not HUGE, but it's a big deal for me, because it helps tie up a plot bunny I had issues with for a long time XD Plus it makes for some oh so fun drama and secret keeping between a group of characters, which should be interesting later on.

But yes. Those of you who are familiar with Tyson (the big guy; a rabbit/warthog hybrid) and Jade (the baby; a rabbit) from older art, should be aware that they are father and daughter.

ONLY THEY'RE NOT :iconimhappyplz:

That's the new plot device~ Tyson is no longer Jade's father. Biologically, that is. Tegan is still her mother, mind you. But her father is actually Kuger. Which makes Cobra her full bloodied sibling. Her twin, actually :P

So let's explain things from the top, shall we? :XD: Here's how the whole mess came about: After the whole plot device of my story where the bad force is vanquished and people start going back to their normal lives/being reunited with those "taken", such is the case with Bullseye's bastard sons, Casey, Tyson, Kuger, and respective company Topaz and Tegan. They had all been together due to the "war", and estranged from any living relatives (to keep safe from their rebellion), whereas once that is over, Casey and Topaz are reunited with their infant daughter they had entrusted to Casey's family, and are eager to have their own home and raise their family. Kuger and Tegan also probably head out together to find their own dwelling or whatever.

Which pretty much leaves Tyson on his own. Mind you, he's been very used to being on his own in the past and has never much played well with others in general, but I figure, being around his brothers and the girls (whether he got on well with them or not) became something he was secretly content with. He was apart of something, he was somebody to them. And now that they've all split, he realizes he's actually very lonely without them. Not that he would dare admit it bothers him... but it does :(

His loneliness is a key factor in what happens not too long after... Tyson happens to go to a lowly bar one night, and he's discovered by none other than Tegan (who he's always hated). As she pulls her usual schtick of goading him on and annoying him, Tyson is so irritated by her, he fails to notice her slipping something in his drink >_> Needless to say, he blacks out, and wakes up to find out that scheming, lustful Tegan got her dirty paws all over him while he was under the influence of what she gave him D| He's absolutely disgusted and furious and quick to get the hell away from her. Tegan, on the other hand, is satisfied and pleased that she finally got what she wanted (to fuck him, essentially, due to the fact he hates her so much, she knew would much it would appall him. Because she gets sick pleasure like that).

She doesn't hide the incident from Kuger, either. She tells him right up front, that she had drugged sex with his half brother. While Kuger is usually unphased with Tegan's looseness and screwing of other men, he turns out to be pretty upset that she did as much with Tyson. He more or less indicates his displeasure, and thrusts himself on her in aggressive sexual manner ._.; (not that she's particularly adverse to it... twisted bitch)

But yeah XP Not too long after both incidents, Tegan finds out she's pregnant. Needless to say, both cases were so close in procession, it's possible that either Tyson or Kuger could be the father. While she tells Kuger about it (and is seriously considering an abortion), what she doesn't count on is Kuger in fact, telling Tyson about the situation :O

As said, while Tyson despises Tegan, and he takes the news at first with outrage... he soon calms down and realizes, despite the awful, twisted situation, he's not adverse to the idea of being a father. Sure he's not happy with Tegan being the mother, but still, the idea of his own child is enough to make him want to be involved. Hencely, Tyson is quick to confront Tegan along with Kuger, and insistent that she go through with the pregnancy, stating he will stick around and help (both before and after), at the possibility of it being his baby. Tegan is not best pleased at this situation, but grudgingly agrees in the end.

But yeah... Tyson sure has a hell of a time keeping Tegan in line throughout the gestation :| Making sure she's not smoking, drinking, or any other substances (Kuger, surprisingly, is convinced to cut back on his own use of said sustances during this time as well, but Tyson doesn't really keep tabs on him as much, lol XP) They all get a nice mind blow when they're informed that Tegan is expecting twins 8|; HOOBOY. Tyson is adverse to them getting a fetal paternity test though... he insists they can just as easily wait until they're born (silently, he's also just hanging on to the possiblity that they're his babies as long as he can).

Aaaanywho... the big day finally arrives. Tegan first gives birth to a baby girl (Jade), who's a full rabbit. At first, Tegan thought it probably meant Tyson was the father. But when she delivers a baby boy next (Cobra), a rare threeway hybrid, of lynx/rabbit/warthog, it's swiftly apparent that Kuger is obviously their father. Soon after the birth, Tegan informs Tyson of the news, bitterly stating "Lucky you - looks like you're off scot-free", indicating he has no obligation to help.

She's rather surprised to see that Tyson is hardly looking relieved at the news, and further shocked when he finally speaks up, saying he doesn't care, and states, if she and Kuger are willing, that he will take one of the baby twins and raise it as his own, with their permission. He calmly indicates that he knows the pair are not exactly prepared for one baby, let alone twins. And obviously, he wants to be a father, even if it's not his.

To which, Tegan has a rare moment in which she shows she's not quite the heartless bitch she's often proved to be. She considers this proposal with great hesitance, appearing more attached to her babies than originally indicated. When she quietly asks Tyson which one he would take, she's further emotionally strained when he suggests her baby girl. Thus showing she's not quite immune to the bond of a mother and daughter. As for Tyson's selection choice, to Tegan, he simply says it will be easier to pass her off as his child and keep questions at bay, being that she's full rabbit and has grey colouring like he does (he also feels a strange sense of protectiveness for her, but he doesn't voice it).

As said, there is a great deal of reluctance, but in the end, Tegan (and Kuger) agree. They give Tyson custody of their daughter, including some finer print details to keep the situation hush-hush - they change her birthdate (so it doesn't match with their son/her twin brother), Tyson is put down as her father, and the agreement between the three of them is that they will never speak of the truth about the twins and their parentage, until they turn 18. As far as anyone else knows, Tyson (and an unknown mother) are Jade's parents, and Cobra is Kuger and Tegan's only child. When in truth, Tyson is actually Jade's uncle, and Cobra is her twin brother, and Tegan and Kuger are her parents.

AND THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE, FOLKS :lol: *collapses* Maaan, that took for bloody well ever to write up! XD But at least now I can link to this whenever it needs to be explained for another purpose again, so phew! ^^;

But yes... that's pretty much the whole story behind both the title and image. Jade may not be Tyson's biological child, but once she's given to him, he never acts like she's anything less than his own, and is fiercely protective of her. I'd imagine, in the beginning, he was probably really paranoid that Tegan was going to change her mind and take the baby back from him (out of nasty spite, if nothing else, being how she is). If she had, you can bet he would've fought her tooth and nail >_>; As far as he's concerned, Jade is HIS daughter, and has been the moment her parents let her go.

And the deal they all made surprisingly sticks too. It's not until Jade's 18th birthday that Tyson finally tells her the truth. And it's certainly met with quite the response... but that's another story for another day! ;)
