Zane + Des'ree - Belated Gift

Firstly, I apologize to you guys for my delay of updates 8| Things have come up and I just got busy and couldn't finish this soon enough DX Secondly, I apologize profusely to my hubby *ZaneRedrald that this wasn't completed on his birthday (which is the 9th), BUT, I did show him it in completed ink lineart so... at least he got THAT in time

So this year, instead of flailing and wangsting over an idea myself... I just right out asked Brandon what he'd like me to draw for him (because it's his BIRTHDAY, and I INSIST D< ) He suggested a sort of redo of this image [link] (now THERE's a blast from the past! Our first year together, and my first drawing done of Zane in his "new" look at the time) Obviously, as you can see, I ended up tweaking the thing a LOT so... it's more loosely based, I guess

The point moreso was, to draw a new Zane/Des'ree image, featuring Zane in his new jacket that Brandon designed for him (alas, you can't quite view the whole experience of it here, plus I fail in general 8D *BEATEN* Someone needs to post HIS awesome drawing of it >C HINT HINT.) and some minor tweaks here and there. I continue to scream and wangst at depicting Zane's hairstyle, but it seems to be better than I thought it was |D; OKAY, I DON'T ENTIRELY SUCK, HAPPY?

Anyway~ He be snuggling onto his woman, Des;ree... who appears to be sporting some SRS HIPS It might just be the angle she's showing them at... but DAMN. I might've overdone them XD; Not that Zane would complain or anything... his bunbun has BOOTY 8U *hit* But yeah, she looks fine otherwise First time I've drawn her this year, I think o.o Poor thing!

So I seem to be totally into two toned background/wall/panel thingies. Is this good or bad? I think it adds some nice variety, plus I'm trying to use more sane colours (which is easier these days, since I've been replenishing my pencils in the last few months, hence am stocked up on colours I'd normally be stingy with). In case it's hard to make out, there's some cracks on the wall that Zane is leaning back against, and my sig under the line of the last "panel" portion. The brown scanned darker than I thought... meh, ohwellz XP

I could do the obligatory love rant here... but 1) I'd be sounding like a broken record - 2) I should be going to sleep instead, since I has work in the morning 8|; I mean really... if you have been watching me long enough/have viewed descriptions of pictures included in this gallery [link] you know how it goes That I'm grateful for my man's day of birth for obvious reasons, that I love and miss him (IWANTYOUINEEDYOUOHBABYOHBABY *slapped* Lawl, movie quotes ftw~) and woohooshenanigans, we're all going to hell (...more inside jokes... don't ask xD)
