The Wolfes - Everything I Need

Guess I'd better update one more picture before the month ends so I don't leave you guys hanging too bad! Things have gotten a tad discouraging physically with my situation over here, which is why I've gone silent again (keep hoping I'll have better news and it doesn't happen). Here's hoping I might fare better this coming month :C

But anywho! This is actually my second sketch of the year~ Just one more image then I'll be all caught up to January's backlog XD It's based off a reference picture I had sitting in my files of a family all curled up and sleeping together. Which is a reeeally sweet family moment scenario that's always tugged at my heartstrings ;w; So I definitely wanted to use it.

I think I decided on using the Wolfes here for it for a few reasons. One, kind of on the vein of drawing Colour characters used from the semi-recent chapters I depicted back when I was still updating. Secondly, it kind of works for a not depicted Colour headcanon scene that would have occurred in the day of the events of blushbunnyc3.deviantart.com/ga… know what I mean? The family was staying in the Warthogg household, and maybe little Svein was fussing at bedtime and didn't want to sleep in his basket or whatever, so they just all snuggled up together~ And Jonas, being the loving and protective husband/father that he is, is watching his family sleep a bit

Two, this is pretty much headcanon for Jonas in general, to be honest. Considering he was abandoned at birth and ignored and tormented by most people (due to high superstition regarding his eye affliction), him eventually gaining a family of his own is pretty much a dream he thought he'd never be fortunate enough to have. He never thought someone like Margaret would treat him with kindness and affection, and even break ties with her own family (her father disowns her for accepting Jonas's marriage proposal - and she willingly walks, all the more emboldened by his cruelty) to be with him, and become his wife and mother to his child.

Her and their little boy Svein are pretty much Jonas's entire world. They probably don't have a great deal many (material) things or money, and no doubt whatever they did have, they were only able to take so much when they had to evacuate due to the impending human threat. But it's little consequence to them; they have each other Jonas certainly isn't mourning what they left behind - Margaret and little Svein, and their love and health/happiness are all he needs. 

Really, this scene and the explanation are a huge ball of sap, I'm sure, but that's what I like about it XD THE WORLD NEEDS MORE MUSH. THERE'S NEVER ENOUGH! *slapped* I hope you guys find it sweet regardless
