Shawn + Melanie Muller

About time I finally finished this piece I've had sitting in procrastination queue since MARCH Sigh, I'm ridiculous~ Again, one of those "OH IT'S ALL ALMOST FULL PAGE AND DETAILED SO I'LL LEAVE IT FOR LATER WHEN I HAVE TIME". Not that I ever found any! 8D *HIT*

Actually, I ended up getting a three day "weekend" from work last week, because I ended up coming down with a freak summer COLD out of nowhere, and needed time to recooperate 8|; So at least I managed to get some art groove on and managed to colour this puppy up. YAY SILVER LINING OR SOMETHING

But yes, as you may recall, I posted this blushbunnyc3.deviantart.com/ar… back at the end of March. I drew it at the end of February, and was all excited that I finally drew a pregfur piece that I loved, and that made me want to try ANOTHER one right away, which is where this came from. At the time though, this one felt like a flop D: I just wasn't as impressed as I was with the first one. So I guess the discouragement kind of made me avoid finishing it for awhile too.

Now, I'm actually not nearly as down on it as a few months ago - it's actually better than I originally gave it credit for It's a pretty sweet scene and interaction; I think I was initially annoyed poor Shawn's face got obscured in the back there and their seated positions were a bit body obscuring too. But I mean, it's still really cuddly and stuff And Melanie's pregnant form looks pretty decent, slightly obscured or not.

Got to play a little with a slightly older attire tweaks for the two as well. They'll come in handy for later (non obscured XD) use! But yes, in case of those who are not familiar with these two, they're Shawn and Melanie (who are both lynxes), and this is their eventual future~ Between their mutual friends who end up hooking up/having kids, these two are ironically the only one that end up having twins (it's funny, because Josh is a twin, and Mase has twin genes from both his parents sides, yet neither produce twin spawnlings of their own :'D Not surprising for Raff, because his family tree has like no traces of twins, lol)

I look forward to designing their babies because they end up having some recessive hybrid genes from Melanie's paternal side 8D SPOILERS~ But that's fun for another day!

Not sure if it's (RAGINGLY D|) obvious, but these two and their colour schemes made it hard to figure out what to do with the background :/ That bed cover was originally a peach, but considering the two are already so light, I had to add some Tuscan red to make it pop some more. Maybe the bedroom should've been darker overall, but at the same time dark colours didn't seem to fit the characters, because they're very cheery and stuff? Idk. Coloured myself into a corner as usual, sob. Hopefully it's not too blargh D: LET'S JUST ENJOY THE FLUFF INSTEAD ;w;
