Joey + Felix - Changes

Happy November everyone! Starting off another hopefully fun filled month of productivity

So for this piece here, I think I was going along the lines of "let's pick someone to draw I haven't in years" but still wanted to keep it simple (plus I had this cute reference picture of a father/child posing close up). I ended up picking this little rugrat blushbunnyc3.deviantart.com/ar… Felix (the widdle rabbit~)  Considering he hasn't been drawn since his initial redesign in 2008 And this was an excuse to draw Joey (a lynx/caracal/warthog hybrid) being fatherly on his own for once 

Didn't really get much space to detail a clothing design for Felix, but eh The shirt he's wearing is pretty oversized too - I swear he's got some shorts on under there XD Pleased with how wee and cute he turned out regardless

...AND I NOW JUST NOTICED I TOTALLY FORGOT TO DRAW THE LIGHT STRIPES ON JOEY'S SHIRT AROUND THE CHEST, FFFFFF xD *dies forever* Wooow, I'm totally losing it this year 8( I SWEAR THIS USUALLY NEVER HAPPENS orz *weeps* Seriously, it's because the kid was in the way, otherwise I'd have noticed >>;

But anyway~ Since this piece is pretty self explanatory and I've been musing a potential big plot change involving these said characters, this seems like a good place to mention it - if you've read the description of the picture I linked above, plus this one blushbunnyc3.deviantart.com/ar… Joey's initial story is that he's the son of BOTH Goresky and Jacque, and a female egg donor (under fictional purposes that this is possible due to like, some advanced science/fusing of the two males genes/sperm - essentially so that Joey would be biologically both of theirs, plus the female donor).

Here's the plot change I've been thinking - that Joey is only biologically Jacque's son. Not Goresky's.

1) More realistic, physically (obvious reasons) and mentally - Jacque would definitely want to father his own child, whereas I could see Goresky not minding if he didn't. His two brothers give his father half a dozen grandkids anyway XD So no pressure, lol. And Goresky would still love Joey as his own son (considering he would raise the kid with Jacque, from birth and all), and he'd still be acknowledged as a Warthogg in name. 

2) His relationship with Jade blushbunnyc3.deviantart.com/ar… loses the ick factor. While originally they didn't even know they were related when they first met/were attracted, it's still kind of weird that they would continue romantically once they found out they were second cousins :/ While maybe it's not as creepy as first cousins, it's still weird D| So yeah, they wouldn't be related biologically at all now - just through marriage.

3) Since Joey and Jade end up having a baby together, Joey ends up becoming intermingled with Warthogg genes in the end SO SEE, IT ALL WORKS OUT

So yeah, that's more or less it. Works out the logical and moral kinks I was never 100% thrilled with. I'm sure some people are going to be all BAWWW on Goresky's behalf (and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad bit too - that's the whole reason I had the original nonsense going to begin with ), but don't worry guys, IT'LL BE OKAY (Let the adorableness here soften the blow ;o; *HIT* Or so I hope, sob)
