I left the posting of this late enough didn't I! Barely hours before the day ends... *dies* But yes, here's my birthday present to the everly awesome *SamCyberCat, because she is, as said, AWESOME This year, I noted her, asking for some suggestions for gift ideas. And when one of those suggestions turned out to be Chislett and Taryn-Lacy, I bloody well pounced on it 8D

I had two inspirations in mind, you see. One: This recent trade half I received: [link] which sent me into complete roflz And secondly, this Hot Topic baby outfit that Jen showed me many months ago, which is complete and epic win |D [link]RODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442171043&bmUID=1204352215617 (in case it doesn't show up; it's a Darth Vader mask image with the words "Who's your daddy?" on a baby outfit xD) Well, put two and two together, and I got this image and idea of sheer lulz

So here's Chislett and Taryn-Lacy, many years down the road, shopping for baby clothes for their soon coming twins (Tara and Cara). And as can probably be told, poor Taryn's at her wit's end at having to tell Chis repeatedly that his selections are not appropriate And just when she thinks she can't handle another, he springs the Star Wars outfit on her Look how proud he is of himself 8D;;

Okay some drawing picks/info: I forgot I wasn't supposed to put the purple highlights in Taryn's hair for this: at this point, she wouldn't be dying her hair anymore And yes, her outfit is changed for both age, and the pregnancy. And that's Chislett in his older!outfit (which may be subject to change), and notice his chin floof is more fine fuzz than scruff? xD Chis strikes me as a babyface kind of guy, who can't grow a proper "beard" (for warthogs, anyway).

And now here's a little drabble I wrote just for this scene, because it would not leave my head until I got it out I hope you all enjoy

Taryn-Lacy glanced at the clock upon the store wall, with exasperation. She should have known better than to agree to let Chislett help her pick out baby clothes for their twins. She wished she would have asked her mother or Jacque instead.

But Taryn knew even if she had, her persistent hubby would have been upset she had not included him. She would have had to put up with something either way. Right now, she didn't know if she had enough patience left to calmly tell Chislett his selections thus far weren't exactly what they were supposed to be looking for. So far, all the animals suits and such like he was pointing out, were only appropriate for occasions like Halloween. And unfortunately for him, there were three hundred and sixty four days left in the year to consider.

As the mongoose adjusted her purse strap, Chislett burst out from behind her, "Yes, yes, this is totally it!" Taryn braced herself with the remainder of her tolerance, and glanced at the outfit the warthog had chosen. At a brief glance, she could at least say that he had finally picked something that was at least normal outfit appropriate. But when she focused on the image across the front, she quickly saw why it had caught Chislett's interest.

"So what do you think?" her mate asked eagerly.

A blank stare upon her face, Taryn honestly didn't know where to begin, without sounding condenscending. "It's... a little drab. Colour wise," she said, trying to be vague about it. It was grey and black afterall, not very happy colours for an infant.

Chislett's lower lip quirked a little. "Huh... didn't think of that," he admitted. "But still! I mean c'mon; is that not the cutest thing or what?"

Taryn gave a weak smile. "Somehow I think it would raise a few... -light sabre- questions..." She wasn't even entirely joking about that either.

The warthog grinned humourously at that. "So? I've got nothing to be ashamed of there. Clearly the rod is fully fledged and functional," he stated, cheerfully.

His wife folded an arm across her chest, her other reaching up to massage her temple. "Well... still. What if the babies are girls?" She was scraping for any excuse at this point.

Chislett gave her a surprised blink. "You're telling me there's no female Star Wars fanatics out there? Hello!" Perhaps this was an argument he could win, for once...

Sorry if it ended on a random note, but I ran out of steam near the end Gets the point across anyway. And I don't know if they bought the outfit or not; Chislett just might have been content enough to win an arguement 8D; *hit* But yes. Sam, thank you for the great selection and your support and love as always, for being such an amazingly thoughtful friend I really hope you like this! :3 And I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
