Description

One more leftover inked image from last month to colour 8D Then I have to immediately start doing comic buffer pages for this month, sob |C *throws pity party*

This was done while my cousins were visiting last month :P Didn't like how it was coming along at first, and actually considering redoing it, even started drawing Tyson on another sheet of paper... but then I changed my mind and finished this one anyway XD Hence, the other sketched turned into a whole other image, with Tyson, and another character instead. But you'll see that later~

So this drawing was done as concept for a drabble I ended up doing of Casey (left, the hyena/warthog hybrid) and Tyson (right, the rabbit/warthog hybrid), for the 100 Themes Challenge (hence the title). It's kind of a sequel to this image: [link] where they meet their other half brother Kuger (they're all the bastard sons of Bullseye, for those who forget, and no, their father doesn't know about any of them. They find each other practically on accident)

While, after that little incident with Kuger, and asking him some questions (which he allowed them to do when they offered him food, lawl. Poor malnourished Kuger |C), Casey was pretty much convinced that he was related to them (Tyson, of course, was ever the skeptic). After having some of Kuger's hair or whatever tested for DNA match, they came up positive, and Casey immediately wanted to find Kuger again, to tell him the truth. Well... problem is, Kuger lives on the streets and can't be easily located... unless you know who and where to ask.

Enter Tyson being forced into helping the situation XD Which he's just ohsothrilled about :| He didn't like Kuger from the get go, and finding out they're related is just salt in the wound D| Also, he doesn't like Casey prying into his own experience on the streets >>; Nonetheless:

Tyson grumbled under his breath. "...Well this was a brilliant plan. How the hell are we supposed to find someone that bums around the streets?"
Casey looked a little sheepish at that. "I... thought you might have an idea of how to-?" His implication of Tyson's own street cred earned him a swift glare.
The rabbit-warthog scoffed. "Yeah, but considering -you're- supposed to be in charge of this goose chase, you could stand to be a little more useful."
His brother flinched a little. "...Sorry."
Tyson just rolled his eyes. "Whatever... follow me then," he ordered.

-----

Casey stared questionably at the shady looking ferret, lazily slumped in a ratty looking lawn chair. "...You sure about this?"
His brother leered down at him. "You got any better ideas?" His statement shut the hyena-warthog up quick enough. "Look... people like this seedy old shit are our best bet of finding him... you sure as hell won't find him using conventional methods."
Giving a weak swallow, Casey assented to Tyson's logic with a nod. "I got it... I'm sorry." Tyson simply gestured him to go forward.
The pair slowly approached the figure, who gradually snapped to focus in their direction, with a wary, yet interested look.
"...Hey there," Casey greeted, wondering if there was a proper way he should be making an introduction. But Tyson said nothing to confirm or dissuade his approach, seeming content to silently stand aside.
The ferret gave a slight head bob, his teeth set in an amused leer, and a toothpick firmly between them. "'Ello. Fine day, inn't it?"
The guy seemed fine with small talk, so Casey went with it. "Yeah, no complaints there."
The ferret gave his toothpick a solid chomp. "So what brings a pair of youse around these parts?"
Okay, so maybe he was a bit more blunt than Casey initially thought. Seeing as he still received neither help nor gesture from Tyson, the hyena-warthog cautiously spoke, "Well... we were hoping we could... maybe ask your assistance in finding someone."
The man raised an intrigued eyebrow. "...'Pends on who youse looking for." Giving his lips a quick swipe of the tongue, he queried, "Know what they look like?"
Casey nodded. "Yeah... he's about... this high-" he responded, implying the height against himself, "-Around our age. Brown eyes, red hair... mostly lynx, a little on the-"
The ferret cut him off with an abrupt guffaw. "Hybrid, yeh mean?" he snickered. "Ah... youse like to surround yerself with your own ilk then?" His snub was not well received by Tyson, whose stance immediately tensed with temper, which in turn made Casey's stiffen with nerves. Luckily, the figure didn't seem to be bothered.
"Hmmm... anyways, might know the blighter. He got a name?"
"Kuger Bouska."
At that, the man gave them a malicious gleam. "Aye... I know that one alright. Didn't know the little rat 'ad a last name though!"
"So you know where we can find him, then?" Casey asked hopefully.
The ferret finally spat out his overused toothpick, and hoisted himself to his feet. "...I could," he grinned. "What's it worth to yeh?" He gave the two a meaningful rubbing gesture with his fingers.
The hyena-warthog's face fell a little at that. He should've known better, this guy -was- a grubby looking sort. "Uh... well--" He started to reach for his pockets, hoping he had something of decent value. It was then that Tyson finally decided to step out of his moody trance and be of some merit to the sitation.
"Oh, put that away," he said irritably, thrusting Casey's hand away, as his brother procured his wallet. "I'll fucking handle this."
Casey gave him a surprised look, as the ferret looked displeased at his potential profit being dismissed. "What's yer problem, eh? Nobody was-"
Tyson ignored his words, and simply pulled back the cuff of his vest, revealing his left shoulder, and a strange looking marking upon it. He made sure the ferret had a good glimpse of it. "Where the fuck is he?"
Upon seeing the mark, the ferret gave a startled look and stumbled back so fast, he practically knocked his chair over. "'Ey, hey! I ain't looking for no trouble 'ere! Was just trying to make a bit of money, s'all-"
"Then how's about you get off your crusty old ass and make an earning the decent way?" the rabbit-warthog snapped coldly.
The male gave him a bit of a bold look. "...You call what youse does a decent living?"
Tyson gave a snort. "At least I earn mine. On actual skill." Glowering, he repeated, "Now tell us where the fuck he is."
Realizing he would be wise not to anger Tyson further, the ferret gulped, "The east side of Penbrook. Little strip down there... youse should find him around. If he ain't there, just wait a few... he'll show up eventually."
The rabbit-warthog finally gave a grunt of approval. Shifting his collar back to its proper position, he said, "Good. And we'll know where to come back if he doesn't." The lightly dropped threat got him a pale look from the ferret, who knew better than to feed him false information.
"Aye," the ferret said weakily, and Tyson knew the old fogger would probably be running for a new corner the minute he and Casey were out of sight. The rabbit-warthog shot him a meaningful nod, and Casey just sort of stood awkwardly aside, figuring he wasn't exactly needed for much talking anymore. Surely, even a goodbye was moo point, considering how frightfully the ferret looked at Tyson. No, they certainly were not welcome there anymore.
As they both tromped away, Casey dared to speak up. "...Uh... thanks for the help back there, but-"
"Whatever," Tyson grunted, ignoring the fact that Casey wasn't done talking.
"-But-," the hyena-warthog repeated a little more forcibly, "-Was threatening the guy like that really neccessary?"
His brother scowled. "Would you have prefered giving his seedy ass the money to buy drugs and booze? S'all he would've done with it."
Casey sighed at the bleak prediction, realizing that Tyson was probably right. "Point taken." Narrowing his eyebrows, he added, "...So what'd you show him anyway?"
He somehow missed Tyson ever so slightly flinch at the question. "None of your business. It worked; that's all you need to know," the rabbit-warthog snapped. Casey just shook his head.

I know... that got long ^^; But hopefully you guys found it enjoyable, and makes up for the wait of new art, and the kind of cruddyness of this particular image :C I mean, I'm glad I finished it, but I'm still not happy with a lot of things on it... most anatomy wangst... and some lameassery on the colouring. Ah well. Hope you guys like it :B And oh... the image is supposed to be depicting Tyson ohsoslightly flinching at Casey's question at the end there... XP "OSHI- HE'S ONTO ME >8|" *dies*

In case you're wondering what Tyson showed the guy? Recall that Tyson is a bounty hunter... I figure the particular group/clan he works for gives all their hunters tattoo brands or what have you... Tyson got his on his high shoulder, so it's easily hidden by his vest. Needless to say, Casey's never seen it, nor does he know what Tyson does >>; And Tyson doesn't WANT him to know... he'd be pretty ashamed to let a nice guy like his older brother know that he kills people for a living, believe it or not. But yes... that will be explored further another time ;) AH, THE DRAMA LLAMA CONTINUES~

These 2 remind me of myself and my brother. Me being more like Casey and my brother is just like Tyson. Well, my brother isn't a bounty hunter, but you get the idea.
